Background and Goals of the Campaign

Our Mission

Our mission is to convince the US government to join the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty, which prohibits the use, trade, production, and stockpiling of antipersonnel landmines, and which requires its adherents to provide funding for landmine victim assistance and demining.

The United States Campaign to Ban Landmines is affiliated with the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, 1997 Nobel Peace Prize Co-Recipient.
